It was a successful and safe Halloween...we cheated and went to our church (Summit Christian Center) Halloween party instead of trick or treating. It was a huge success. I worried about not being home for the other halloweenies for fear we may get a tree tp-ed or windows egged. But no harm done. It was the most kid based fun that I have seen a church sponsor. I have many thoughts on this idea of churches becoming the new community - safe gathering places, but I won't rant on that now. Needlesstosay, I am happy about the new Halloween tradition and will be volunteering next year to help.
